Casting is absolutely essential in the making of a good movie or show. The Long Kiss Goodnight might have been a success if Geena Davis weren’t such a disaster. And Boy Meets World might have been a disaster if William Russ and Ben Savage weren’t such successes on screen. It doesn’t matter how great a script is, if an actor’s wrong the final product isn’t going to come out right. That’s all there is to it. I know this from experience, both in casting for my own projects and from seeing so many sadly miscast other projects. I guess it’s just something you have to learn to deal with. I think casting directors are the most undervalued members of the entertainment industry. What would we do if no one had ever discovered Harrison Ford? What would we do if no one had ever given Leo DiCaprio his big break? Casting is so essential, it can’t be said enough.
Real Quality Productions
Comedy Videos are everywhere these days. They are on the TV, they are on the computer screen and they are even online at the super market when I am buying beef jerky and orange juice. But what shows are really good? What makes a quality production? Well, first of all you need to be rich if you want to make something worth watching. I mean batman rich, with plenty of cameras to film all of the great stuff you are going to be capturing on video. And in addition to that, you need to find great actors. When I watch comedy videos, I like to see unknown actors, so I can really believe they are the characters in the shows. No movie stars for me, no thanks. I asked my mom what she thought about that and she agreed. A great comedy video just needs to have a rich producer behind it. Oh, and a really, really funny idea too! But that goes without being said!
